Jerry Seinfeld Extends NYC Residency

When Jerry Seinfeld first announced his 2016 residency, he said the Beacon Theatre was his favorite venue and it just felt “alive.” Luckily for the comedian – and his fans – the Beacon Theatre is hosting Seinfeld for another run of dates.

“Jerry Seinfeld: The Homestand” returns in 2017 with shows booked Jan. 5, Feb. 9, March 16, April 13, May 18 and June 8. Each evening features performances at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

“I had a feeling this was going to happen. I have enjoyed doing shows at The Beacon so much it has become a bit of an obsession and I can’t stop,” Seinfeld said.

Since ending the final season of his award-winning, namesake sitcom, Seinfeld has stayed active as a standup comedian, in addition to starring in, writing and producing movies. The funnyman recently directed the off-Broadway production of “Colin Quinn: The New York Story.” He also found time to write the best-selling book “Seinlanguage” and the children’s book “Halloween.”

Seinfeld’s critically acclaimed web series “Comedian in Cars Getting Coffee” has been renewed through season nine, according to Deadline.com.

Along with his Dec. 2 show at the Beacon Theatre, Seinfeld’s remaining 2016 schedule includes a few nights in Florida, Chicago and Las Vegas. He’ll also head north for a handful of shows in Canada. His 2017 plans includes performances in Austin, Houston, Minneapolis and Milwaukee, as well as an Australia/New Zealand tour.

Tickets for the new Beacon Theatre gigs go on sale Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. EST.
