Auckland City Limits Scrapped For 2017, Plans For 2018

It will return in 2018, according to a statement from Campbell Smith of CRS Presents, which brought the event Down Under alongside C3 Presents and Live Nation Australia & New Zealand.

The inaugural Auckland City Limits drew 25,000 to Western Springs, exceeding promoters’ expectations, with a 40-strong bill headlined by Kendrick Lamar and The National. It was set to return on March 11.

According to Smith’s statement, “Our intent as always is to stage a world class music festival in Auckland. We remain committed to bringing the best Auckland City Limits experience possible to New Zealand. We will return in March 2018 with an equally strong artist line up and an intensified focus on providing festival-goers with an unforgettable day.”
