Sting Sets ‘57th & 9th’ Dates

Sting embarks on an adventure in early 2017 taking the former Police-man through North America as well as Europe and the U.K. in support of his brand new 57th & 9th album. The tour, which includes stops in theatres and clubs along with sports arenas, kicks off Feb. 1 in Vancouver.

The last few days have been busy for Mr. Gordon Sumner.  Sting headlined the reopening of Paris’ Bataclan Nov. 12.  The concert hall had been closed since last November’s terrorist attack during Eagles Of Death Metal’s headlining set at the venue.

Sting’s 12th solo album, 57th & 9th, arrived Nov. 11 on A&M/Interscope Records.  The first single from the 10-song disc is “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You.”

Sting’s upcoming tour has him performing with a three-piece band made up of his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller plus Josh Freese (drums) and Rufus Miller (guitar).  Special guests include his son singer/songwriter Joe Sumner, as well as Austin-based The Last Bandoleros.
