Keith Sweat Heats Up Vegas

Who can entertain you like Keith Sweat? To commemorate the 30-year anniversary of his hit album, the R&B crooner will be holding down a residency in Las Vegas early next year, with funnyman Aries Spears joining him as a special guest.

The show, “Keith Sweat: Last Forever,” will be at Flamingo Las Vegas Jan. 17 to Feb. 4. It will feature hits from throughout his career, but will be a celebration of the breakthrough 1987 LP Make It Last Forever.

“This is what I like to call the second act of my career,” Sweat said. “This is the most exciting moment in my life.”

Prior to Vegas Sweat also a couple headline shows in the coming months. He appears at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. on Nov. 26 and at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, on Dec. 17.

After the residency he also plays Verizon Theatre in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 12 and Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Feb. 18.

The last artists to hold down a residency at Flamingo Las Vegas, were Donny & Marie Osmond, which makes sense as there is a showroom named after them in the casino. The next artists you can catch there before Sweat are Olivia Newton-John and Piff The Magic Dragon.
