Morrissey Reschedules U.S. Dates

Morrissey isn’t going to make it back on stage this week after all. But the good news is he’s rescheduled the next three shows, as well as three nights in Texas that were called off last week.

The former Smiths frontman was forced to postpone his remaining 2016 performances after band member Gustavo Manzur collapsed two hours before Nov. 14’s sold-out show in Boulder, Colo. Morrissey came out on stage to tell the crowd the bad news and then released an announcement via fan site True-To-You.net the next day explaining that Manzur was recuperating and that “doctors have advised one week of rest.” The announcement affected dates in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston.

Morrissey was supposed to resume his tour tonight in Royal Oak, Mich. Instead, the Nov. 23 gig has been moved to Dec. 7. Gigs in Cleveland and Chicago have also been pushed back. Here is the updated schedule:

Dec. 7 – Royal Oak, Mich., Royal Oak Music Theatre
Dec. 9 – Cleveland, Ohio State Theatre
Dec. 10 – Chicago, Ill., Aragon Ballroom
Dec. 14 – Dallas, Texas, McFarlin Memorial Auditorium
Dec. 16 – Houston, Texas, White Oak Music Hall
Dec. 17 – San Antonio, Texas, Majestic Theater

Tickets purchased for the original shows will be honored at the new gigs. Ticketholders who cannot attend the rescheduled shows can contact the venues for refund information. Remaining tickets for select performances are on sale now.
