Kansas Expands ‘Leftoverture’ Tour

With just a handful of dates left on its “Leftoverture 40th Anniversary Tour” routing, Kansas has announced that the U.S. expedition will continue in 2017.

The tour marks the first time the rockers have performed the album in its entirety. Leftoverture was released in 1976 as the band’s fourth studio album. The breakthrough LP includes the hit “Carry On Wayward Son” and fan favorites such as “The Wall,” “Miracles Out Of Nowhere,” and “What’s On My Mind.”

“The band has been pretty overwhelmed by the popularity of both this tour and the new album,” drummer Phil Ehart said. “Never having performed an album in its entirety, we didn’t know what to expect. Due to the enthusiasm from our fans, we are excited to expand this tour to select cities next year. Who knows, maybe it can grow even more!”

Along with the complete album, Kansas’ setlist on tour includes hits and deep cuts from its catalog and songs from its 2016 release, The Prelude Implicit.
