Il Volo Takes Off In The U.S.

Italian vocal trio Il Volo is headed Stateside in 2017 with a tour full of tunes from one of the group’s greatest inspirations.

The group will be performing material from its latest album, Notte Magica – A Tribute to The Three Tenors, which honors the legendary vocal trio. Il Volo released that album earlier this year and its performance of the content in Florence, Italy, was the subject of a PBS documentary.

After the U.S. Il Volo has another month of dates lined up in its native Italy, starting with a show in Torino May 5. That run closes with a three-show run at  June 1, 3 and 4.

A former Pollstar HotStar, Il Volo’s music is usually performed in English, Italian and Spanish, although much from this new show will be in Italian, as that is what The Three Tenors sang in. The band’s members are Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble.
