Ohio Theatre Restored

A theater in Lorain, Ohio, has been restored to its original beauty from its 1928 opening.

Operators of the 1,400-capacity Lorain Palace Theatre hope the restoration will bring more people to the city’s downtown. The theater has undergone many restorations over the years and most recently another $100,000 was spent on improvements.

Operations director Chris Pataky told The Plain Dealer of Cleveland the venue was one of the first in the state to show films with sound. The facility hosted concerts by Jay & The Americans, “Gallagher’s Jokes On You Comedy Tour” and Gary Puckett & The Union Gap this year.
