In addition to the business and property, Possum Holdings also purchased the master license to the George Jones name, likeness and artifacts, according to the Tennessean. The four-story, recently renovated space includes a restaurant and bar, the museum and an event space. The group purchased the enterprise from Jones’ widow, Nancy, who opened the museum in spring 2015.

But just last month, her business partner and museum manager Kirk West pleaded guilty to two counts of bank fraud and was sentenced to two years in prison.
