“The response from the acoustic Sleep is Day EP was so great, we thought we’d give fans a chance to see us perform an entire set in that format,” vocalist/guitarist Ritzy Bryan said.

Bassist Rhydian Davies added, “These dates will be a celebration of songwriting and storytelling, a chance to hear material from Sleep is Day and other tracks in a stripped down, intimate show. Come join us around the campfire on our ‘Leave No Trace Tour.’”

Perhaps The Joy Formidable will also be playing some tunes from its latest album, Hitch, which was released in March.

The “Leave No Trace Tour” launches on the West Coast with gigs in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Here’s the plan:

Feb. 21 – Seattle, Wash., The Triple Door
Feb. 22 – Portland, Ore., Mississippi Studios
Feb. 24 – San Francisco, Calif., Swedish American Hall
Feb. 25 – Los Angeles, Calif., Immanuel Presbyterian
Feb. 27 – Chicago, Ill., Lincoln Hall
March 1 – New York, N.Y., Le Poisson Rouge
March 2 – Somerville, Mass., Once Ballroom
