PJ Harvey Plots Full North American Trek
The new dates start at
She played a few shows in Los Angeles and New York earlier this year, but this is the first extended run we have on record for PJ Harvey in North America since 2009.
Her full routing is a legitimate global tour. The next place to catch PJ is in Singapore Jan. 13. After that she has an extended routing in Australia, including an appearance at
PJ Harvey’s 2016 album The Hope Six Demolition Project is up for Best Alternative Music Album. In a classic case of “Always a bridesmaid,” this year marks the seventh time the alternative songstress has been nominated, but she has yet to bring one home.
Here’s the music video for the opening track of The Hope Six, “The Community of Hope.” While it can be hard to tell with Harvey, it seems like the song touches on themes of gentrification and race. What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below.
