VenuWorks Taps Lynn Cannon For Bloomington

Cannon was involved in the management of Chicago’s United Center in the ’90s, Arlington Park in Arlington Heights, Ill., and most recently was director of the Navy Pier IMAX Theatre. Cannon began her work Dec. 5.

She replaces Curtis Webb, who was fired in October after discovery of unauthorized usage of a company debit card.

VenuWorks picked up the management contract for the city-owned venue earlier this year, after the building reportedly recorded almost $500,000 in losses in 2015.

The venue’s expired naming rights contract has also expired, causing management to refer to it only as the “Coliseum.”
