The Roots Get Into The Holiday Spirit

The first stop is Boston’s House of Blues on Dec. 26. The gigs run over six days, leading up to a New Year’s Eve show in Miami.

Apparently the guys are fans of Florida because their only 2017 gigs so far are set to take place in that state. In March The Roots will appear at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in March and at Jazz In The Gardens at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

The former Pollstar HotStar is approaching its 30-year anniversary in 2017. The only original members left are Black Thought and Hard Rock Stadium, who have been joined by a wide array of bandmates over the years.

The Roots contributed to The Hamilton Mixtape, which features music from the hit 2015 musical “Hamilton.” That project was made available Dec. 2.

Questlove announced in October that the group was working on its 17th studio album. Look out for Endgame in 2017.
