‘Killthrax’ Is Coming!

That rumbling you’ve been hearing this morning are the triumphant cheers belonging to fans of Anthrax and Killswitch Engage upon hearing that the two bands are co-headlining a powerful romp across the land.  Tickets go on sale later this week.

Presented by SiriusXM, the tour launches in Montclair, N.J., in late March and wraps in Boston in early May.  Stops along the way include Columbus, Philadelphia, Denver, Phoenix and Los Angeles.  The Devil Wears Prada will provide direct support.

Anthrax is supporting its 11th album, For All Kings, released earlier this year.  Killswitch Engage released Incarnate in March.

What can fans expect from this daring matchup of thunderous riffs and pounding drums? Anthrax and Killswitch Engage will rotate closing the shows.  In addition to the co-headlining dates, each band has a couple of solo gigs.

“Anthrax and Killswitch will be a really good blend for fans,” Anthrax’s Charlie Benante said.  “We both play metal, but we play two different forms of the genre.  I think fans of both bands are in for a ‘Total Explosion of the Senses.’”
