WME/IMG Taps David He For Live Entertainment

WME/IMG China announced four new appointments on Dec 13. 

David He will also join WME/IMG China to head its live entertainment division. For the last 15 years he has worked in the live event field for companies like Taihe Media, Damai and Ticketmaster, mainly as a link between China and the global entertainment industry.


He’s been responsible for the Echo Park and Concrete & Grass music festivals, as well as major concerts by the likes of Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars.

He’s also steered the NBA China Games. Bruce Li has worked for Nike in marketing for 12 years. He will spearhead WME/IMG’s professional and amateur basketball strategy in China, as well as other sports like tennis, soccer and golf.

Li was in charge of Nike’s basketball division in China and negotiated deals with the CBA and stars like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, not to mention Yi Jianlian.

Himself a former ATP Tour player, Li also headed Nike’s tennis marketing strategy in China for a number of years. He developed the partnership with IMG client Li Na. Rick Yan was taken on to lead the company’s film and television entertainment efforts.
