Bestival Leaves Isle of Wight Site

The 14th Bestival will take place Sept. 7-10 on the same site as sister event

Since its inception in 2004, Bestival went down in Robin Hill Park on the Isle of Wight. Promoter Rob da Bank doesn’t want to leave the island entirely, though.

“We’re working towards a new event for the Island. Watch this space,” he wrote on Facebook. “Hot off the press – yes Bestival is moving! We can confirm we have submitted a licence application for a new site at the Lulworth Estate in Dorset and we’re super excited about our shiny new Bestival adventure,” he wrote.

“We have an incredible line-up, headliners confirmed and ridiculous new stages and installations coming your way in 2017.”

No acts have been announced so far. Bestival grew from a 10,000- to a 55,000-capacity event, and has welcomed The Cure, Beastie Boys, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Outkast,
