Margo Price Rambles Into 2017

2016 was a breakout year for Margo Price. She released her debut solo album and won several awards and achieved widespread recognition. Now she will open the new year with a regional headline tour.

The recent Pollstar HotStar will be in the regional Southern and Midwestern U.S. from February to April. The first night of the “Born To Ramble” tour is in Knoxville, in her home state of Tennessee, Feb. 23. Most shows in March stick to the South, and in April the artist heads up to the Northwest, finishing that run April 8 in Minneapolis.

The songstress’s next performance is at Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, Scotland, Jan. 24. After that, she plays Ann Arbor Folk Festival in Ann Arbor, Mich., Jan. 28. Finally, the last gig booked for the country singer is at Stagecoach California’s Country Music Festival April 29, in Indio, Calif.

It has been a big year for Price. In addition to being featured in Pollstar she was recognized by Rolling Stone, NPR and Entertainment Weekly. She won the Emerging Artist of the Year award at Americana Fest and Honky Tonk Female for the Ameripolitan Music Awards.

She recorded a few albums with the band Ann Arbor Folk Festival before her big break. This year she released her solo album Midwest Farmer’s Daughter through Third Man Records, and that has earned her many of her accolades.
