The Weeknd Tops Roskilde Lineup

He’s a star, boys and girls. The Weeknd will be topping Denmark’s destination festival with the likes of Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire.

Roskilde Festival, for those not in the know, is an annual festival in Roskilde, Denmark, which operates as a nonprofit and benefits cultural and humanitarian causes through the Roskilde Festival Charity Society. It will take place June 24 to July 1 this year.

Organizers say next year’s event will see approximately175 performers take the stage. Solange, Trentemoller, G-Eazy, Blink-182, Justice, Warpaint, Margo Price, The Lumineers and Erasure are a few other acts which will appear at the megafest.

The Weekend has one more show in the U.S. this year, at The Chelsea At The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on Dec. 30. After that the artist is in Europe in February and March, before playing four festivals in South America, including Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia, and Lollapalooza events in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

The former Pollstar HotStar also has a full routing booked in North America from April to June. His most recent album, Starboy, is lighting up the charts and streaming services.
