Hoop and Beam released Love Letters For Fire in April, earning glowing reviews from The A.V. Club, The Guardian and even a respectable 7.5 rating from Pitchfork.

Pitchfork contributor Allison Hussey writes, “The duo’s exquisite vocal harmonies are the crown jewel of Love Letter for Fire, with the centerpiece and single ‘EverySongbird Says’ maximizing each singer’s strengths. Her voice is high and taut against his lower, billowing warmth. They circle each other from line to line and soar upward together gracefully on the song’s high notes. The tune is a patient ode to a partner, finding satisfaction in the small stuff. … Their voices fit together so uncannily that it’s like each was made to sing with the other.”

The duo stopped by NPR for a “Tiny Desk Concert” featuring “Sailor To Siren,” “Know The Wild That Wants You” and “Every Songbird Says.”

Hoop’s new album is due out Feb. 10.

“I’ve named this batch of rock solid babes Memories AreNow…for isn’t it the truth!! The Future, after all, is no place to put your better days !! What is more is that Memories Are Now will be coming out on the best indie label in the universe, Sub Pop records !!!!” Hoop posted on Facebook.
