Ingham, who was previously the venue’s deputy CEO and finance director, has served as chief exec since May, which is when predecessor Geoff Huckstep left after 15 years. Ingham has since “clearly demonstrated he is more than capable of performing,” according to arena chairman Mich Stevenson OBE DL, who also said he was “confident that Martin is the right person to lead our wonderful team of staff.”

Ingham has been with the arena since 2002, “helping to put Nottingham into the Top 50 Arenas in the world for entertainment,” according to the announcement.

He said he “loved working at this superb venue from day one,” and added that “when you add in a team of staff that display such extraordinary skills, dedication, tenacity, creativity and humor that the complexities of our industry demand then it is an even greater privilege to be appointed to the role.”
