Boston Calling Tools Up

Tool, Mumford & Sons and Chance The Rapper are tapped to headline Boston Calling. The fest is also moving to a new location. Early bird tickets go on sale today!

Growing into a “multi-disciplinary festival,” Boston Calling is leaving its City Hall Plaza location for the much larger Harvard Athletic Complex in Beantown’s Allston neighborhood. Taking place May 26-28, Boston Calling’s plan is to include a film experience curated by actress/producer/director Natalie Portman plus food, beverages and visual arts. More details about the fest’s broader scope will be announced soon.

Of course, Boston Calling is still curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner. The festival will present 45 acts spread out over three outdoor stages.

The lineup also includes Bon Iver, The xx and Solange as well as Weezer, Major Lazer, The 1975, Sigur Rós, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Sylvan Esso, Run The Jewels, Cage The Elephant, and

Boston Calling has plenty of love for solo artists and will present Lucy Dacus, Mondo Cozmo, Tkay Maidza, and Moses Sumney. Also appearing are Buffalo Tom, Cousin Stizz, The Hotelier, Piebald and Vundabar.
