Bonnie Raitt Extends ‘Dig In Deep’ Tour
The provinces will get the “Dig In Deep” treatment when Bonnie Raitt heads to Canada in May for her first full-fledged tour of the country in more than 10 years.
Dig In Deep was released last year, marking Raitt’s 17th studio album. The track listing includes originals penned by Raitt, along with several covers such as INXS’s “Need You Tonight,” Joseph Lee Henry’s “You’ve Changed My Mind,” and “Shakin’ Shakin’ Shakes,” which was written by T Bone Burnett and Cesar Rosas and recorded by Los Lobos.
Entertainment Weekly declares that the album captures the “propulsive live energy” of Raitt and her longtime touring band. The review praises Raitt’s choice of covers but notes that it’s the original tunes “where Raitt’s signature rasp and world-weary perspective cut deepest.”
