Dispatch Floats Into Levitate Lineup

Levitate Music Festival is set to bring top notch reggae and jam music to the Northeastern U.S. this summer, with genre heavyweights like Dispatch, Ziggy Marley, Umphrey’s McGee, and Marshfield Fairgrounds.

The festival takes place at the Marshfield Fairgrounds in Marshfield, Mass., July 8-9.

There will be 3 stages throughout the event, but there are only 20 bands, so set times should be fairly long. Other performing artists include Lake Street Dive, The Revivalists, J.J. Grey & Mofro, Twiddle, Deer Tick, Trevor Hall, and many others.

Levitate is a destination festival which started in 2013 to celebrate the anniversary of its namesake surf, skate and clothing line. The event also hosts art vendors and food trucks, creating a real “groovy” vibe for concertgoers. Check out the recap video from last year’s shindig, which was a one-day event featuring Tedeschi Trucks Band, Los Lobos, and Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Two-day tickets to Levitate are on sale now, but single-day passes won’t go on sale until the daily lineups are released. You can also purchase round trip bus passes to and from Wompatuck State Park and parking passes which guarantee you a spot. Camping is available at the park, but has to be booked separately.
