U2 Books Additional ‘Joshua Tree Tour’ Gigs

After updating its European “Joshua Tree Tour” schedule with a few extra nights in select cities, U2 is doing the same thing for the U.S. portion of the stadium outing.

If you missed Monday’s announcement, we’ll give you a recap. The band is performing its fifth album, The Joshua Tree, in its entirety this year to celebrating the LP’s 30th anniversary. The Joshua Tree marked U2’s first No. 1 album in the U.S. and earned the band the Grammy for album of the year, as well as the award for the best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal.

The general onsale for the previously announced North American portion of the tour began Tuesday. Turns out that U2 will be sticking around Pasadena, Chicago and East Rutherford, N.J., to play two shows per city.
