Kid Rock Rocking New Detroit Arena

A new arena in Detroit will be officially opening its doors for business later this year and Kid Rock is just the man to get the party started.

If there’s one thing you know about Kid Rock it’s that he’s very proud to represent Motor City. The outspoken singer/songwriter, whose music ranges from rock to rap to country, was born in nearby Romeo, Mich., and now calls Detroit home.

He’ll help Little Caesars Arena open in style by playing four concerts at the venue. The shows are scheduled Sept. 12-13 and 15-16.

“I hope it’s a celebration of the city, the arena and the people who built it,” Rock said Thursday during a media event at the venue site, according to the Detroit Free Press.

For now, Kid Rock is the only confirmed performer at the venue. Little Caesars Arena will be the new home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons.

Kid Rock is hosting a fan club presale that begins Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. EST. Tickets go on sale to the general public Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. EST.
