New LN Chastain Park Lease

Live Nation, which manages the 6,900-capacity Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, will invest millions into the facility through a new lease agreement with city officials.

The Atlanta City Council approved Jan. 17 a new 10-year lease with Live Nation that includes a 10-year renewal option. The lease is retroactive to Jan. 1 and will include an additional $3.50 surcharge per concert ticket. That will go toward paying off $5.1 million in upgrades authorized by the council over the next 20 years, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. 

Live Nation will also be responsible for the expenses of the sound specifications of the amphitheatre ordinance.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported the upgrade project work will be done by Chastain Venture, a joint venture of the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center and Live Nation Worldwide.
