Festival Noize: Governors Ball, Las Rageous, Faster Horses, Forecastle, Sabroso

Governors Ball reveals daily lineups … Metalheads to fill Sin City for Las Rageous festival … Faster Horses will send Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert into Michigan … Louisville’s Forecastle adds a few names … Sabroso spices up SoCal with one-day rock shindig.

New York’s destination music festival Governors Ball will feature the likes of Tool, Chance The Rapper, Rae Sremmurd, Wu-Tang Clan, and many more.

The event runs from June 2-4 on

June 2 has Chance The Rapper, Lorde, Flume, Beach House, and Schoolboy Q. The following day, Saturday June 3, is headlined by Phoenix, Childish Gambino, Wu-Tang Clan, Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker, Marshmello, The Head And The Heart and Rae Sremmurd. The final day of festivities, June 4, includes Tool, Cage The Elephant, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, Phantogram, and Franz Ferdinand.

This is the seventh year of the Ball and there are more than 65 acts booked.

Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Anthrax, Breaking Benjamin, and Killswitch Engage are among the acts set to take the stage in Las Vegas’s Las Rageous music festival.

Downtown Las Vegas is the place to be for metalheads April 21-22. There will be two stages which will take over two blocks of the historic city streets.

There will also be a collection of wandering freak show performers, a food truck village and a feature for local bands.

This year is the festival’s debut addition, so if all goes well, it could be the start of many good years.

Faster Horses Country Festival, on for the fifth year July 21-23 in Brooklyn, Mich., will feature the likes of Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert.

Additional performing artists for this year include Lauren Alaina, Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots, The Charlie Daniels Band, Dan + Shay, Jon Pardi, Cole Swindell, Darius Rucker, and Old Dominion.

There is camping at the festival, along with two stages. More artists are going to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Budweiser Clydesdales will be making their usual appearance and there will be the usual pancake party, campsite contest and “Faster Humans Fun Run.”

The event is in Louisville, Ky., July 14-16 and will showcase previously announced headliners LCD Soundsystem, Weezer, Odesza, and Cage The Elephant.

Los Angeles radio station KLOS is putting on Sabroso, a one-day celebration of food and music which will feature the tunes of The Offspring, Sum 41, Rival Sons, Lit, and Metalachi.

The event is billed as a craft beer, taco and music festival, so you can expect all of those things at

There will be a taco competition which will give attendees to a wide variety of flavors for $3 and will eventually get one eatery the “People’s Choice” award and “Best Of Show” award. In addition to the music and food options, there will be lucha libre style wrestling.

The VIP package include exclusive food and drink options and access to special stage views and bathrooms.
