There are four new dates, all peppered throughout their routing with The White Witch. They are: March 3 in Temecula, Calif.; March 22 in Miami Beach, Fla.; March 27 in Silver Spring, Md; and April 1 in Atlantic City, N.J.
The group is still promoting the 2016 album Alone. There will be an appearance on the show “Austin City Limits” March 13 to push some of those new tunes.
Consequence of Sound recently praised that LP’s dynamic new sound, writing “Alone revels in the kind of humanity that’s long made Hynde’s best work with the Pretenders tick. As long as she’s commanding the mic, the Pretenders’ stamp is indelibly made. The result is a record that sounds like the Pretenders, though also unlike anything the group’s done previously.”
The Pretenders has been around for over 30 years and the membership of the group has been changing since the deaths of founding guitarist James Honeyman-Scott and founding bassist Pete Farndon, but the mainstay has been frontwoman Chrissie Hynde.
You can get tickets to these solo gigs Feb. 3. Learn more about the band at ThePretenders.com.
