Marcus Joins Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster announced Feb. 2 that David Marcus has been named executive VP, head of music, for a newly formed division in North America. He will report directly to Ticketmaster North America President Jared Smith.

The new division will integrate services including OnTour, the venues and promoters ticketing segment, and TicketWeb, the company said in a statement.

Marcus previously was chief commercial officer at ScoreBig, held leadership positions at Warner Music Group and Warner Bros. Records, and was a founding legal associate with Entertainment and Intellectual Property Group Company.

Marcus also moderated the “Does Secondary Ticketing Deserve A Seat At The Table?” panel at Pollstar Live! 2014.
