The shared routing starts March 1 in Montreal, Quebec. We have a performance scheduled that day at Montreal High Lights Festival and another gig with Madeleine Peyroux on the books. After that, the ladies are on the road together until March 25 Aurora, Ill. Jones also has a run of five solo shows after, from March 26 in Milwaukee to April 1 in Houston.

After the North American run Jones has an April trek scheduled in Australia, culminating with two days at Bluesfest Byron Bay April 14-15. There is also a single European show scheduled April 26 in Cork, Ireland.

Peyroux is mostly in Europe until the Montreal gigs, though she also has a gig in Muscat, Oman, Feb. 16. The next place to catch her is in Dublin, Ireland, Feb. 9.

Jones released an album in 2015, called The Other Side of Desire. The album received critical acclaim, with Uncut Magazine describing it as “an arrestingly ambigious musical journey … a record that crowns her career, not an end but as a culmination.”

For her part, Peyroux seems very excited to be joining forces with someone who she has long admired. “It’s a rare occasion when one gets to share one’s life and work with a master. I consider my upcoming tour together with Rickie Lee Jones to be one of those timeless occasions,” Peyroux wrote in a statement.
