Muse, TSTM Headed On Amphitheatre Tour

Muse is hitting outdoor venues across North America this summer with special guest Thirty Seconds To Mars and support from PVRIS.

The tour kicks off May 20 in West Palm Beach, Fla., and wraps up in Salt Lake City on Sept. 20. Over the course of those four months there will be 15 amphitheatre shows in total, with PVRIS not playing the June 15 stop in Charlotte. Of course the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colo., is also on the bill.

In addition to the amphitheaters Muse is playing festivals throughout its routing, including stops at Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati on June 4, Festival D’été de Québec in Quebec City, on July 16 and the UK’s Reading and Leeds Festivals on August 25-26. Muse is still pushing tunes from its 2015 release Drones, which won the band a Grammy Award.

Thirty Seconds To Mars is mostly sticking to the amphitheatres, although it has announced the annual festival Camp Mars is on for its third edition. The group has a new album in the works and flamboyant frontman Jared Leto is also starring a few upcoming movies, including the new “Blade Runner 2049.”

Opener PVRIS has organizations like MTV singing its praises. “For fans of The Neighbourhood, CHVRCHES, and Leeds, PVRIS are the best thing since sliced bread,” it wrote. That band is also currently working on an album.
