Outside of the gigs with Ozomatli, SNZ has a few headline dates in California in early April.

The next place to catch Ozomatli is Sheila E’s Glamorous Life Latin Cruise, setting sail from Miami on Feb. 10.

While the bands come from different places musically, they have both been around for more than two decades and apparently share a great mutual respect and are excited to celebrate their diverse influences.

“We anchor ourselves to a belief that we the actual people of the land are more united than divided,” SNZ’s Chris Phillips said in a statement.

Ozomatli is working on a new record, Non-Stop, Mexico>Jamaica, due out May 5. Squirrel Nut Zippers also has an album in the works, its first in seventeen years.

Here is the shared routing:

March 28 – Tucson, Ariz., Rialto Theatre
March 29 – Tempe, Ariz., The Marquee
March 30 – Las Vegas, Nev., House Of Blues
April 19 – Ridgefield, Conn., Ridgefield Playhouse
April 20 – Concord, N.H., Capitol Center for the Arts – Chubb Theatre
April 21 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Brooklyn Steel
