Empire Of The Sun Reigns On U.S. Coasts
Touring music from its latest album, Empire Of The Sun is hitting the U.S. for a headline tour and two performances at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. The Avalanches and Broods will provide support for the trek.

The former Pollstar HotStar will showcase content from Two Vines, its 2016 album. The band’s biggest single is still the title track from its 2009 album Walking On A Dream. That song crept under the radar on its release, but was picked up in a 2016 Honda commercial and has since become by far the band’s most popular tune.
The first place to catch the electro-duo this year is at Coachella on April 14. The Empire sticks to the Southwest region, with Nevada, Arizona and California performances before returning to Indio’s megafestival on April 21. The Nevada Shows are being played with The Avalanches and the Arizona and Los Angeles headline shows will feature Broods.
Entertainment Weekly sang the band’s praises after the release of the third album, writing “One thing’s for sure: no matter what style they’re performing, Empire of the Sun knows how to make people move, and their third studio set, Two Vines, is no exception.”
