Belle And Sebastian Books Summer Excursion

Indie darling Belle And Sebastian has planned a trip to the U.S. this summer that includes gigs in New York, Boston and Los Angeles. The Scottish band will be joined by Andrew Bird, Spoon, Ex Hex, and Julien Baker on select shows.

The setlist for the tour will include new music from Belle & Sebastian’s forthcoming album. The band has been recording material in its native Glasgow for the follow-up to 2015’s Girls in Peacetime Want To Dance. The LP is due out on Matador Records later this year.

After playing “Mad Cool Festival” in Madrid July 6, the group heads across the Atlantic. The first stop is Toronto’s Sony Centre For The Performing Arts.

Julien Baker appears in Toronto. Spoon will be in Columbia and Los Angeles. Andrew Bird appears in Columbia, Boston and Philadelphia. Ex Hex is on board in Columbia. Porches appears in Boston and Philadelphia. Poet/musician Sony Centre For The Performing Arts appears in Los Angeles.

Tickets for most dates go on sale Feb. 17. As for Raleigh and Los Angeles, check with the venues for more information.
