More than half of the shows on the first leg of the tour are already sold out. Fans visiting the band’s website will see that the sold out shows include a note saying, “Please do not buy tickets from touts / secondary ticketing agents at inflated prices. Thank you.”

As you might have guessed, Pixies is not a fan of scalpers.

“On this tour, we are asking the promoters and the venues to make available as many tickets as possible for presales,” manager Richard Jones said. “That way, we can help insure that tickets get into the hands of the fans and not the scalpers. We’ve also asked the promoters to remove any secondary site links and to use their anti-tout teams and technology to help combat the scalper market.”

The 2017 tour features a new stage set designed by longtime production manager Simon Foster and lighting designer Myles Mangino. The sleek new look features special pods that house all of the lighting. As for the setlist, it will change somewhat from night to night, with songs ranging from classics and catalogue rarities to tunes from the band’s latest album, Head Carrier.

Public Access T.V., Cymbals Eat Guitars, Sunflower Bean, and Mitski appear on select shows.
