Beale Street Unveils 2017 Lineup

Kings of Leon, Soundgarden, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, and Jill Scott are among those locked in for the 41st annual Memphis in May Beale Street Music Festival.

We actually have the daily lineups on the books so we know that Friday, May 5 will feature Snoop Dogg, Widespread Panic, MGMT, Grouplove, Jimmy Eat World and Charles Bradley & The Extraordinaires. Saturday, May 6 will showcase the talents of Kings of Leon, Wiz Khalifa, Death Cab For Cutie, Ludacris, X Ambassadors, Griz and Drive-By Truckers. The last day, Sunday May 7 will feature Soundgarden, Sturgill Simpson, Jill Scott, Ziggy Marley, and Midnight Oil.

Local talents, including hometown hero Booker T. Jones will also perform at Beale Street.

“We take great pride in the eclectic mix of artists we present to our patrons and music fans each year,” Memphis In May president/CEO James L. Holt said. “From the rock and blues our city is known for to the many diverse and popular musical genres today, we have something for almost every musical taste at the Beale Street Music Festival.”

The Beale Street music festival is a part of the Memphis In May International Festival, which also includes a fireworks show, barbecue cooking contest and a river run.
