Gabriel Iglesias Cancels Shows

Performances are being crossed off Gabriel Iglesias’ tour schedule, following a cryptic post on his social media pages.

Sunday evening the comedian shared a photo of himself and a group of people climbing down a stairwell with the caption, “The problem with going down the wrong path is sometimes you take people with you. I’m not where I need to be but I’m refocused and hopeful.”

Iglesias’ website currently has a notice explaining that tour dates are “temporarily unavailable. Please check back for updates.” If you visit Ticketmaster you’ll see that several “Fluffy Mania” shows are listed as canceled, including gigs in Detroit, Orlando, Miami and Hidalgo, Texas.

His next show was supposed to take place March 2 in Cleveland at the State Theatre At Playhouse Square. While the theatre’s website simply says the performance was “canceled due to a scheduling conflict,” the Old National Events Plaza in Evansville, Ind., has some more information.

The Old National Events Plaza released the following statement: “The Saturday, March 4th comedy show featuring Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias at the Old National Events Plaza has been cancelled. Gabriel has always been grateful of the loyalty and support from his fans and it is very important to him that he performs when he is at his best which is why he needs some time to refocus and recharge from his intense travel and work schedules. He is thankful for your understanding and is looking to reschedule as soon as possible. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”

The venue added that refunds are available through the respective outlets where tickets were purchased.

Pollstar is waiting to hear back from Iglesias’ manager and agent for additional details regarding how many performances are affected.
