Ms. Crow played a surprise show at Troubador in West Holly wood last night to give SoCal fans a sneak peek of the new tunes. The Be Myself album will be available April 21. A brand-spankin’ new music video for the single “Halfway There” featuring Gary Clark Jr. is available now. Pre-orders come with a download of the song.

The new dates open in Atlantic City, N.J., on April 22 and mostly stick to the coasts, eventually ending in Chautauqua, N.Y. on July 14. Along the way there are stops at Panama City Beach Spring Jam in Panama City Beach, Fla., on April 28 and Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester, N.Y., June 29.

The shows will most likely feature tunes from Crow’s most recent project, which she said takes inspiration from her early records and current events. “This past summer, because of what was going on in the world and particularly in the United States; I began to feel a sense of urgency about writing … and we turned out some good old-school Sheryl Crow tunes,” she said.
