Spanish Promoters Association Elects New President
Albert Salméron of Spanish promoter and live music agency Producciones Animadas, has been named president of the Asociación de Promotores Musicales (APM).
57 Spanish concert promoters are organized under the APM umbrella, which represents more than 80 per cent of the private companies promoting concerts and festivals in the country.
Salméron has been on APM’s board of directors for the past four years. The newly elected board now consists of Tito Ramoneda (The Project), Neo Sala (Doctor Music), Maricruz Laguna (GTS) and Julio Martí (Serious Fan Music).
Salméron’s predecessor, Pascual Egea, was not up for reelection after having already served eight years as APM president.
Prior to the election, Salméron was honored for his contributions to live music in Spain, alongside Alberto Guijarro, the director of Barcelona festival Primavera Sound. Both began as partners in the business some 25 years ago.
