“The Own Light Tour” runs just over a month, from May 2 in Omaha, Neb., until June 7 in Toronto, with one festival appearance scheduled at Soundset in Saint Paul, Minn.,  May 28.

The new Brother Ali album, All the Beauty in This Whole Life will drop May 5 through Rhymesayers Entertainment. The whole thing was produced by fellow Rhymesayer Ant of Atmosphere. Of the push, Ali said: “Each of my albums are the result of the pain, growth and eventual healing that I experience. This entire album is based on the reality that beauty is the splendor of truth. Beauty in all of its forms is the outward manifestation of love and virtue. It soothes the soul and pulls it gently toward the truth it communicates.”
