311 frontman Nick Hexum tears it up at The Rave in Milwaukee.
The new LP, Mosaic, is due out in the summer and is available for pre-order now. The single, “Too Much To Think,” is already available for listening.
311 is still mostly comprised of its original membership, with the exception of guitarist Jim Watson. Drummer Chad Sexton said that playing shows is still very meaningful after 27 years. “For us, it’s still a celebration. For the simple fact that if people have different sets of ideas and opinions, likes and dislikes, and are able to get along and come together over the one bond they share (music) – there is no satisfaction like the joy experienced when this happens. It’s a celebration over the triumph of our differences and it’s the main concept we’ve been presenting throughout our entire 27 year journey – UNITY.”
The new dates open in Northfield, Ohio, on June 22 and run for more than two months, ending Sept. 1 at American Music Festival in Virginia Beach, Va. Special guests New Politics will be joining for the trek, as will The Skints and Passafire on select dates.
