PRG’s Live Entertainment Award Live Streamed In 3D
The German Live Entertainment Award (LEA) will be streamed as a 360-degree 3D event for owners of virtual reality headsets, live from Frankfurt, Germany, on April 3.
2016
The less technologically equipped will be able to stream the award show in HD, and enjoy among other things a live performance by legendary German singer Udo Lindenberg.
The equipment needed to film and broadcast in 360 degrees is provided by PRG itself, in collaboration with Frankfurt-based streaming specialist airtango.
The LEAs traditionally take place a day before production conference Prolight + Sound opens at Frankfurt Trade Fair (April 7-10). The LEA trophies are awarded to event organizers, managers, agents and venue operators in 15 categories, including festival of the year where nominees include German festivals Lollapalooza Berlin, Sonne Mond Sterne, Wenn die Musi spielt as well as Open Air St. Gallen from Switzerland.
