Coldplay Adds A Few To ‘A Head Full Of Dreams Tour’

Citing “phenomenal demand,” Coldplay has added a couple of additional shows in Canada as well as a return to Southern California’s Rose Bowl.  

The British rock band is preparing to get hit the road for the next leg of “A Head Full Of Dreams Tour,” which began in March 2016. Coldplay’s 2017 schedule launches March 31 in Singapore, followed by gigs in Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. European dates are booked in June and July.

The upcoming North American routing kicks off Aug. 1 in East Rutherford, N.J. After playing two nights at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., last summer, Coldplay will be back to takes the stage in October.

The Canadian portion of the tour marks Coldplay’s first gigs in the provinces in five years. Toronto’s Rogers Arena and Edmonton’s Rogers Place will get two nights each with the band.

A Citi card member for the Pasadena show begins March 20 at 10 a.m. PDT, followed by the general onsale March 24.

As for the new Canadian dates, American Express is hosting a presale for its card members that begins March 27. Tickets go on sale to the general public March 31.

“A Head Full Of Dreams Tour” supports Coldplay’s seventh studio album. A companion EP to 2015’s A Head Full Of Dreams album will be released June 2. The Kaleidoscope EP features the band’s hit collaboration with The Chainsmokers, “Something Just Like This.”
