Ed Sheeran Announces North America Additions

It looks like North American fans are eager to welcome Ed Sheeran back to the stage. After the 49 dates on his U.S./Canada tour sold out within minutes of going on sale last week, he’s added additional performances at select venues.

The British singer/songwriter will be performing tunes from his brand new album, ÷ (pronounced “divide”), which came out earlier this month. On Friday he released the official lyric video for the track “Galway Girl.”

Sheeran’s first tour since 2015 kicked off with two gigs at the Pala Alpitour in Torino, Italy, March 16-17. His travels through Europe and the U.K. continue through early May. After that he’s off to South America for gigs in Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Costa Rica. He has a few nights booked in Mexico and Puerto Rico.

After headlining Glastonbury June 25, Sheeran launches the U.S./Canada tour June 29 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. His tour now includes a third night at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, as well as additions in Philadelphia; Edmonton, Alberta; Los Angeles; Duluth, Ga.; Rosemont, Ill.; Washington, D.C.; Boston; Columbus, Ohio; and Nashville.
