Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo Plus Toto
Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo have teamed up with a variety of fantastic artists in recent years, including Cher, Rick Springfield, and Melissa Etheridge. This time around they’ve announced a handful of co-bill dates with Toto.
The wife and husband team of mezzo-soprano singer/songwriter Benatar and producer/guitarist/songwriter Giraldo have been making tunes together since 1979, representing one of the most successful partnerships in music history. Their hits include “Promises in The Dark,” “Hell Is For Children,” “Love Is A Battlefield” and “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”

Earlier this year the duo recorded “Shine,” a new song written with Linda Perry, to celebrate women’s rights.
Toto’s 40th anniversary is coming up in 2018 and the band is already promising fans that it has some major plans in the works to celebrate. Last year the band released the Blu-Ray/DVD Live At Montreux. The guys have been continuing to show off music from Toto XIV, which marked Toto’s first album since its 2008-2010 hiatus.
“I’ve known Neil a long time and he’s a fantastic musician,” Toto’s Steve Lukather commented. “Pat’s voice is one of the all-time greats and we’re super excited to join together with them to do some shows this summer.”
“Looking forward to sharing the stage this year with our good friends and great players, Toto,” Benatar and Giraldo said in a joint statement. “We’ve known each other for years and never had the opportunity to do an extended tour together until now. Should be good times for all.”
