Scorpions, Megadeth Take On ‘Crazy World’

Scorpions is inviting special guest Megadeth on the road for a month-long tour of North America later this year.

The dates for the “Crazy World” tour begin Sept. 14 in Reading, Pa., at
Scorpions has been rocking since 1965 and is still led by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. The singer is Klaus Meine, Matthias Jabs plays lead guitar, Pawel Maciwoda holds down the bass, and former Motörhead member Mikkey Dee plays the drums. The band released its latest album, Return to Forever, in 2015.
“When our album Crazy World was released back in ’91, right at the end of the cold war, we toured around a world that was pretty crazy back then, but there was so much hope in the air for a more peaceful future. Now 26 years later, things are getting more crazy every other day. After all these years, ‘Crazy World’ is still a good motto for our upcoming world tour. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of you out there,” Meine said.
Support for the Sep. 19 and 23 dates has not been announced so it is likely that Megadeth will not be on those gigs.
Prior to the North American trek Scorpions is mostly in Europe in the summer, with tons of festival appearances booked.

A presale is on for the Inglewood show, and that general onsale opens tomorrow. There is currently no word on when tickets for other gigs will be available, although Scorpions’ fan club will get exclusive first access to tickets when they are available.
