Sib Hashian Dies
Sib Hashian, 67, former drummer for Boston, reportedly died after collapsing onstage during a performance on the “Legends of Rock Cruise.”
TMZ confirmed the news with the drummer’s son, Adam, who said Hashian suddenly fell down in the middle of his set Wednesday night. The gossip site says a witness claims that “CPR was performed and a defibrillator was used but to no avail.”
The Boston Globe reports, “Hashian’s wife of 38 years, Suzanne, confirmed the death Thursday.”
The Legends Of Rock Cruise was scheduled to be out at sea March 23 and then head to Nassau, Bahamas, on Friday and return to Miami on Saturday.
No further information was available at press time.
Hashian was featured on Boston’s first two albums, 1976’s self-titled release and 1978’s Don’t Look Back. He left the band in 1983.
