Jill Scott Headlines In The U.S.A.
The fabulous Jill Scott is taking center stage at venues across the U.S. this summer, while fans can also expect to see her on the big screen.
Scott’s current routing starts May 7 at Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, Tenn. After that she appears at Hampton Jazz Festival June 23 and the only other festival appearance scheduled is Essence Music Festival In New Orleans July 1.
The headline dates start June 24 in Oxon Hill, Md., and continue until Aug. 18 in Temecula, Calif.
Scott is not only a Grammy-winning singer, but an accomplished actress, who notably starred in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” and HBO’s “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.” She also did voice acting in the video game “Grand Theft Auto IV.”
This year, Scott has a role in “Coco,” the feature-film debut of Azealia Banks directed by RZA. That project is set to be released in April, and is not to be confused with the upcoming Pixar film “Coco.”
