The R&B/soul star released blackSUMMERS’night last July as the follow-up to 2009’s BLACKsummers’night. You can expect more music from the project as the new LP is the second in a musical trilogy.

review from Rolling Stone praises the album for evoking “a tradition disappearing before our eyes – the spiritualized eroticism of Prince, the jazzy soul extensions of Earth, Wind and Fire – without ever being of it.”

The track “Lake By The Ocean” received the Grammy for Best R&B song. Maxwell recently picked up a few other trophies – an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Male Artist and a Soul Train Award for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist.

Along with the news about the tour, today Maxwell debuted the music video for the song “Gods” exclusively available via TIDAL
