Promoter Arrested In Hip-Hop Shooting

Police arrested a man described as a hip-hop promoter March 27 on charges of pistol-whipping someone during a shooting incident involving Fetty Wap.

The shooting, which left three people injured, happened outside a 24-hour deli in Fetty Wap’s hometown of Paterson, N.J. Names weren’t released but police said the “Trap Queen” singer was not injured in the shooting.

Raheem Thomas was charged with assault and weapons offenses. Investigators said he struck a victim with a gun he was not legally allowed to carry. He was not charged in the shooting, however.

Thomas apparently runs a company called Muscle Team entertainment and has had recent public beefs with Fetty Wap, including posting a pic with a chain said to be stolen from the rapper.

Thomas and his people had apparently told Fetty Wap to stay out of Paterson, according to TMZ, and released a song critical of the rapper.
